One of the most versatile ornamental trees, it can reach a height of about 4 m. The grafting height is 2.1-2.2 m. It is very decorative; the branch structure is relaxed and twisting, and offers an exciting view even in winter. Its leaves are small, compound, glossy, dark green on top, and gray-green and hairy underneath. It has no thorns. In autumn the foliage turns golden yellow. Its creamy white, striking and eye-catching flowers bloom in clusters in midsummer. The fruit is a fleshy pod. It loves a sunny spot and well-structured soil. Water requirements are moderate. It can be planted as a specimen plant in larger gardens or in combination with low perennials.
